Hyundai Motor Group has announced the expansion of its joint traineeship program with the Mohammed bin Salman Foundation (Misk), reinforcing its long-term commitment to developing Saudi talent while strengthening strategic cooperation between South Korea and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The enhanced initiative will provide 10 outstanding Saudi students and recent graduates with an intensive eight-week professional training program at Hyundai Motor Group’s global headquarters in Seoul, offering participants valuable hands-on experience across several of the company’s strategic business divisions.

A Strategic Investment in Future Saudi Talent

The expanded traineeship reflects Hyundai Motor Group’s broader vision of supporting the next generation of professionals through international learning opportunities that combine academic knowledge with real-world industry experience.

The program officially began on July 6 and represents another milestone in the Group’s ongoing collaboration with the Misk Foundation to prepare highly skilled Saudi professionals for the rapidly evolving global workforce.

Hyundai Motor Group Reaffirms Commitment to Saudi Arabia

Commenting on the initiative, Hokeun Chung, Executive Vice President of the Future Strategy Division at Hyundai Motor Group, emphasized that Saudi Arabia remains one of the Group’s most important strategic markets and a key partner in its long-term global vision.

He noted that welcoming talented Saudi youth through the expanded traineeship program provides participants with first-hand exposure to Hyundai’s innovation ecosystem, advanced technologies, business operations, and future mobility vision.

Chung added that the initiative will help nurture future leaders while further strengthening economic and technological cooperation between South Korea and Saudi Arabia for years to come.

Misk Foundation Highlights the Program’s Growing Impact

Asma Al Jasser, Director of the Misk Skills Track at the Mohammed bin Salman Foundation, said the success of the program’s inaugural cohort demonstrated the significant value of the partnership and its positive impact on Saudi youth.

She explained that expanding the collaboration reflects both organizations’ shared commitment to equipping future generations with practical experience, international exposure, and leadership capabilities that match the changing demands of today’s global job market.

According to Al Jasser, the program continues to empower young Saudis by providing real-world learning opportunities that build confidence and prepare participants to become future leaders.

From Pilot Initiative to Large-Scale Program

The traineeship has experienced remarkable growth since its pilot launch in 2025, when only two trainees participated.

For the 2026 edition, Hyundai Motor Group expanded the initiative across multiple business divisions following high-level discussions held in October 2025 between Executive Chair Euisun Chung and Dr. Badr Hamoud Al-Badr, CEO of the Misk Foundation.

Interest in this year’s program exceeded expectations, attracting more than 2,500 applications from Saudi students and graduates.

Following a rigorous evaluation process based on professional capabilities, communication skills, and leadership potential, 10 participants were selected to join the prestigious international training experience.

Hands-On Experience Across Strategic Business Functions

Throughout the eight-week program, trainees will work directly within Hyundai Motor Group’s key strategic divisions, gaining practical experience in areas including global strategy, design, and business operations.

Participants will also explore Hyundai’s latest technologies, innovation initiatives, and future business priorities while contributing to practical projects and applied research focused on the Saudi Arabian and Middle Eastern markets.

The experience is designed to broaden participants’ global perspectives, strengthen professional capabilities, and help them build valuable international networks.

Partnership Extends Beyond the Training Program

The expanded traineeship represents one pillar of Hyundai Motor Group’s growing partnership with the Misk Foundation.

Building on this collaboration, the Group will once again participate in the Misk Global Forum this November by organizing the Hyundai Motor Group Smart City Workshop for the second consecutive year, alongside several sponsorship initiatives.

The workshop will continue introducing Saudi youth to Hyundai’s vision for future smart cities through interactive learning experiences centered on mobility, logistics, energy, and urban infrastructure.

Strengthening Korea–Saudi Collaboration for the Future

Looking ahead, Hyundai Motor Group plans to deepen cooperation with the Misk Foundation by expanding initiatives that encourage knowledge exchange, professional development, and cross-border collaboration between South Korea and Saudi Arabia.

Together, both organizations aim to cultivate future-ready talent while supporting innovation, sustainable development, and stronger partnerships across multiple industries in line with Saudi Arabia’s long-term development ambitions.
