Google has officially launched its Personal Intelligence feature within the Gemini application for users across the Arab world, marking a significant step toward more personalized AI-driven experiences.
Announced from Dubai, the new capability allows users to securely connect data from apps such as Gmail and Google Photos, enabling Gemini to deliver more relevant and context-aware responses tailored to individual needs.
Advanced AI Powered by Context and Data Integration
Personal Intelligence builds on two core capabilities: advanced reasoning across complex data sources and the ability to retrieve specific details from user content—such as emails or photos—to generate accurate answers.
By combining these strengths, Gemini can process text, images, and videos to create highly personalized outputs. Whether recommending a book or designing a travel itinerary, the system tailors responses based on users’ past interactions, preferences, and experiences.
User-Controlled Personalization Experience
A key aspect of the feature is its user-centric design. Individuals can decide which applications to connect, allowing them to customize how deeply Gemini integrates with their personal data.
Each connected app enhances the assistant’s capabilities, creating a more dynamic and intelligent experience without compromising user control.
Privacy-First Architecture Ensures Data Security
Google emphasized that privacy is at the core of Personal Intelligence. The feature is turned off by default, and users must manually enable it. They can also select specific apps to connect and disable the feature at any time.
Importantly, all accessed data remains securely stored within Google’s ecosystem, eliminating the need to share sensitive information with external platforms.
Transparent AI Responses with Source Clarity
To build trust, Gemini provides transparency in its responses by referencing or explaining the sources used from connected apps.
This approach allows users to verify the origin of the information and better understand how answers are generated, reinforcing confidence in AI-driven interactions.
Availability and Rollout Plan
The Personal Intelligence feature is currently available to users in the Arab world subscribed to Google AI Plus, Pro, and Ultra plans, with plans to extend access to free-tier users in the coming weeks.
To activate the feature, users need to follow simple steps: open Gemini, navigate to Settings, select Personal Intelligence, and choose the apps they wish to connect.
