Global 8000

Bombardier has marked a significant milestone with the delivery of the first Global 8000 aircraft to long-standing customer Vista. The handover took place at the London Biggin Hill Service Centre, reinforcing the strong partnership between the two aviation leaders.

Fleet Transformation Underway

This delivery signals the beginning of a major fleet upgrade program for Vista, as the company moves to convert its existing Global 7500 aircraft into the advanced Global 8000 configuration. With a plan to upgrade two aircraft per month, Vista aims to complete the transformation of its entire fleet of 18 jets by the end of the year—creating the largest subscription-based fleet of this next-generation aircraft.

Unmatched Speed and Range

The Global 8000 sets a new benchmark in business aviation performance. Recognized as the fastest civil aircraft since the iconic Concorde, it delivers a top speed of Mach 0.95 and an impressive range of 8,000 nautical miles. These capabilities allow passengers to reach destinations faster while enjoying seamless long-haul travel.

Superior Cabin Comfort and Innovation

Designed with passenger well-being in mind, the aircraft features the longest seated cabin in its class and offers the lowest cabin altitude in business aviation production—just 2,691 feet. This results in reduced fatigue and enhanced comfort, ensuring travelers arrive refreshed and ready for peak performance.

Leadership Perspective on Innovation

Eric Martel, President and CEO of Bombardier, highlighted the aircraft’s unique position in the market, describing the Global 8000 as a no-compromise jet that combines speed, comfort, and industry-leading operational performance. He emphasized that its addition to Vista’s fleet elevates the overall customer experience in private aviation.

Vista’s Commitment to Excellence

Thomas Flohr, Founder and Chairman of Vista, noted that the introduction of the Global 8000 represents another key step in the company’s mission to operate the most advanced fleet in private aviation. He added that increased speed and extended range translate into tangible benefits for members, including faster journeys and more efficient direct flights, while maintaining Vista’s hallmark consistency and premium service.

Strengthening a Strategic Partnership

The delivery follows a major announcement made on February 11, 2026, when Vista and its affiliated entities confirmed an order for 40 Challenger 3500 aircraft, along with purchase options for an additional 120 jets. This agreement further underscores the deep-rooted partnership and mutual confidence between Bombardier and Vista in shaping the future of business aviation.
