Kia Middle East & Africa has officially unveiled the Kia PV5, marking the regional debut of the brand’s first Platform Beyond Vehicle (PBV) model in the Middle East and Africa. The launch event took place at the iconic Museum of the Future, positioning the Kia PV5 as a forward-looking solution aligned with next-generation mobility trends.

This milestone introduction signals Kia’s strategic push to redefine transportation through flexible, fully electric platforms tailored to evolving market demands.

A Fully Electric Vision for Future Transportation

The Kia PV5 is engineered as a comprehensive electric mobility solution that merges practicality, flexibility, and advanced technology. As the first model in Kia’s PBV lineup, it has been designed to meet the dynamic needs of individuals, businesses, and communities.

From urban commuting to commercial logistics and lifestyle applications, the Kia PV5 delivers a versatile approach to mobility. Its modular architecture allows users to configure the vehicle based on specific operational requirements, enhancing efficiency across multiple use cases.

Multiple Configurations for Diverse Applications

During the Dubai showcase, Kia highlighted several configurations of the Kia PV5, demonstrating the flexibility of its PBV platform:

PV5 Passenger: Designed for personal use, ride-hailing, car-sharing, and corporate transport, offering a spacious cabin, sliding doors, and generous luggage capacity.

PV5 Cargo: Built for logistics and delivery operations, featuring up to 4.42 cubic metres of cargo space and a long-range 71.2 kWh battery capable of reaching up to 524 km (NEDC).

PV5 WAV (Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle): A mobility-inclusive solution with integrated accessibility features for people of determination.

PV5 Prime Edition: A premium conversion tailored for VIP transport, hotels, and executive services with enhanced comfort and privacy.

PV5 Drop Side: A flexible commercial configuration built on a chassis-cab platform, suitable for specialized applications such as refrigerated transport and utility services.

According to Ahmed Soudodi, Vice President of Kia Middle East & Africa, the Kia PV5 represents a major step forward in the company’s mobility vision. He emphasized that the PBV model reflects Kia’s commitment to delivering innovative solutions that adapt to changing customer and business needs.

By combining electric mobility with advanced technologies and a purpose-built platform, the Kia PV5 opens new possibilities for how people move, work, and connect across the region.

The Kia PV5 embodies Kia’s human-centric design philosophy, focusing on comfort, usability, and innovation. Its flexible interior layout, intelligent vehicle systems, and connected technologies create a seamless user experience.

All configurations of the Kia PV5 are equipped with a comprehensive suite of advanced driver-assistance systems, including:

Smart Cruise Control (SCC)

Speed Limit Assist

Additionally, the vehicle supports both AC and DC charging, with fast-charging capability enabling a 10% to 80% charge in approximately 30 minutes.

The Kia PV5 integrates Android Automotive OS (AAOS), delivering native Google services, over-the-air (OTA) updates, and business-focused applications through its in-vehicle infotainment (IVI) system.
