Danieli Venice

The iconic Danieli Venice, A Four Seasons Hotel, has officially reopened its doors, marking a new era of luxury hospitality in one of Italy’s most historic destinations. Located along the prestigious Riva degli Schiavoni, the hotel welcomes guests with breathtaking views of San Giorgio Maggiore from its rooftop terrace, while many rooms unveil the Venetian Lagoon in a theatrical reveal reminiscent of a grand stage.

A Historic Landmark Reimagined

Originally built in 1471 as the residence of the noble Dandolo family, Palazzo Dandolo stands as a masterpiece of Venetian Gothic architecture. The hotel’s story is enriched by Palazzo Casa Nuova, once the Treasury of the Venetian Republic, and Palazzo Danieli Excelsior. Together, these buildings form a remarkable architectural ensemble that defines Danieli Venice.

Renowned interior designer Pierre-Yves Rochon led the restoration of Palazzo Dandolo and Casa Nuova, carefully blending centuries-old heritage with a refined contemporary vision.

Expanding Luxury Accommodation

Following its reopening, Danieli Venice features 120 rooms and suites, with plans to expand to 168 accommodations upon completion of the Palazzo Danieli Excelsior restoration in 2027.

Guests can enjoy sweeping views of the lagoon, canals, or historic rooftops. The redesigned rooms offer enhanced space, elegant layouts, and modern comfort, including Junior Suites and One-Bedroom Suites with flexible configurations and connecting options.

A Dialogue of Heritage and Contemporary Design

The design vision by Pierre-Yves Rochon captures Venice’s identity through a delicate interplay of light, materials, and history. Interiors showcase a palette inspired by the Venetian Lagoon, including celadon green, soft blue, terracotta, ochre, and powder pink tones.

Upon entering Palazzo Dandolo, guests are greeted by a fully restored, hand-painted gilded ceiling featuring a quatrefoil motif set against an azure backdrop. Columns, stonework, and the grand staircase have been meticulously restored by skilled artisans.

Natural light plays a central role, enhanced by Venetian mirrors and reflective surfaces. Elements such as Murano glass, terrazzo floors, and bespoke Rubelli textiles further highlight local craftsmanship.

Artistic Heritage Brought to Life

A curated collection of artwork enriches the interiors of Danieli Venice, inspired by the historic Grand Tour era. Venetian engravings, antique mirrors, and decorative objects reinterpret the city’s artistic legacy, creating refined spaces that evoke the grandeur of a noble palazzo while maintaining a residential feel.

Elevated Dining at Terrazza Danieli

Terrazza Danieli, the hotel’s iconic rooftop restaurant, has been reimagined to offer a refined culinary experience alongside panoramic lagoon views.

The redesigned space features soft pastel tones, azure accents, and subtle gold finishes, replacing darker interiors to enhance natural light and ambiance. The outdoor terrace retains warm terracotta hues that reflect the building’s historic façade.

Executive Chef Adriano Rausa presents a modern interpretation of Italian cuisine infused with Venetian influences, emphasizing seasonal ingredients and local partnerships. Signature dishes are often completed tableside, adding a theatrical and interactive dimension to dining.

The bar complements the experience with a curated selection of classic Italian aperitivo cocktails reimagined with a contemporary twist.

Wellness Experience Coming Soon

The transformation of Danieli Venice will continue with the launch of Danieli Spa in late 2026. The spa will include three treatment rooms, a dedicated couples’ suite, a sauna, and a hammam, offering guests a complete wellness retreat.

Four Seasons Expands Its Italian Portfolio

With the reopening of Danieli Venice, Four Seasons strengthens its presence in Italy, joining its prestigious properties in Milan, Florence, and Taormina. The hotel represents the brand’s commitment to delivering exceptional luxury experiences rooted in cultural heritage.
