Khadeer Tea Inaugurates State-of-the-Art Factory in Saudi Arabia, amid expectation of 4.7% Market Growth by 2025
The exponential growth of Gulf markets in multiple sectors has attracted major companies at regional and global levels, ultimately enhancing the competitiveness of local companies. Capitalizing on this trend, Khadeer Tea Company, a Saudi-based tea company, has announced its plans to open a factory in Saudi Arabia, with the UAE market as its next target.
Taking advantage of the market’s influx of capital and foreign investments from around the world, Khadeer Tea aims to establish a strong presence in Saudi Arabia before moving on to the next market.
The company is set to complete construction of its new factory in the industrial city of Sudair within the next few months. The factory will produce a range of tea products, as well as some food items, including coffee and powdered milk. These products will be distributed and marketed within the Kingdom, with plans for export to international markets.
According to international reports, the global tea market, led by China, is set to witness a compound annual growth rate of 4.7% between 2020 and 2025, with black tea retaining a prominent share of this percentage, along with expected growth in green tea and flavoring herbs due to their associated health benefits.
Khaled Al-Dawas, Chairman of Khadeer Tea, has affirmed that the opening of the new factory is part of the company’s plan to promote the “Made in Saudi Arabia” brand and export it to international, Gulf, and Arab markets.
Al-Dawas stressed that the company is committed to producing high-quality products to raise its competitive edge in the tea market both locally and regionally. The project was born out of the Saudi Vision 2030, and Khadeer Tea launched its first products in the Saudi market in 2016, just two years after the vision was announced.
