The fourth day of GITEX GLOBAL 2025 reinforced Dubai’s position as the epicenter of the intelligent digital economy, as ministers, CISOs, and global tech pioneers gathered to address one defining challenge — securing a world powered by AI, data, and quantum innovation.
With cybersecurity, AI trust, and digital resilience dominating the agenda, the event marked a pivotal moment in the ongoing evolution of global digital collaboration.

Shaping the Future of Security in the Intelligent Era
H.E. Omar Sultan Al Olama, UAE Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications, opened the day by emphasizing GITEX’s global impact, noting:
“Nothing embodies the UAE’s vision for technology and its role as a convener of the world quite like GITEX.”
He urged governments and enterprises to prioritize AI capacity-building and risk management, highlighting the need for informed, agile regulation to navigate the evolving AI landscape effectively.

Cyber Resilience 2030: Human, Policy, and AI Synergy
In a keynote titled “Cyber Resilience 2030: People, Policy & AI at the Core of National Security,” H.E. Dr. Mohamed Al Kuwaiti, Head of Cybersecurity for the UAE Government, unveiled the nation’s holistic cybersecurity vision built on governance, AI threat detection, and societal awareness.
“The key message is to build a strong cyber culture across nations — our people will always be the first line of defense,” he said.
The UAE Cyber Security Council also launched its Cybersecurity Vision 2025, emphasizing resilience, partnerships, and technology exchange as the foundation of a secure digital future.

Global Collaboration Against AI-Driven Threats
Dr. Neal Jetton, Director of Cybercrime at INTERPOL, shared insights on international collaboration to combat cross-border cybercrime.
“Criminals are now using AI to enhance efficiency and scale — collaboration between nations and the private sector is essential to stay ahead,” he noted.
Taavi Madiberk, CEO and Co-Founder of Skeleton Technologies, underscored the need to reduce AI computing costs, opening doors for breakthroughs in climate research, cancer treatment, and advanced battery technologies.
Meanwhile, H.E. Liisa-Ly Pakosta, Estonia’s Minister of Justice and Digital Affairs, stressed the importance of international cooperation to counter AI-powered attacks, asserting that every cyber incident “creates ripple effects that no nation can face alone.”
Innovation Meets Protection: Exhibitors Lead the Charge
The exhibition floor buzzed with breakthroughs as global tech giants showcased next-generation cybersecurity and AI-powered infrastructure.
Huawei captivated audiences with more than 80 solutions under the banner “All Intelligence,” spanning industrial transformation, Huawei Cloud, intelligent data centers, and smart campuses. The company also revealed its ICT Skills Development Insights Report 2025 in partnership with UNESCO IITE, reflecting its commitment to advancing digital talent and knowledge exchange.
Elsewhere, OPSWAT presented its MetaDefender Optical Diode and new MetaDefender Kiosk Series, enabling ultra-secure data transfers for critical assets. Fortinet introduced its FortiGuard Incident Response & Readiness suite — a proactive, intelligence-led service model for enterprises — while CrowdStrike’s Falcon platform demonstrated a 98% reduction in critical vulnerabilities across cloud, endpoints, and data ecosystems.

Strengthening Dubai’s Digital Defenses
On the sidelines, Dubai Municipality and Fortinet International inked a strategic agreement to boost the emirate’s AI-powered cybersecurity framework, enhancing digital infrastructure resilience and supporting smart government transformation.
