GITEX GLOBAL 2025

The curtains have closed on GITEX GLOBAL 2025, marking a milestone 45th edition that redefined international collaboration and innovation.

Over 6,800 tech enterprises, 2,000 startups, and 1,200 investors from 180 countries gathered across Dubai World Trade Centre and Dubai Harbour, driving five days of breakthrough deals and next-generation technology launches.

From AI and quantum computing to biotech, cybersecurity, data infrastructure, and semiconductors, the show unveiled technologies reshaping industries and accelerating the UAE’s position as a global leader in digital transformation.

UAE at the Forefront of the AI Revolution

Highlighting the nation’s visionary leadership, Amr Kamel, General Manager of Microsoft UAE, said:

“The UAE stands at the forefront of digital transformation, and GITEX continues to be a driving platform in this journey. The nation’s proactive approach—embracing AI responsibly and building a world-class digital ecosystem—has positioned it as a global magnet for innovation and investment.”

AI in Action: Visionaries Defining the Next Era

In one of the event’s most anticipated moments, Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI, joined Peng Xiao, Group CEO of G42, for a landmark virtual session on “Architecting AI-Native Societies.”

The discussion explored how cross-border partnerships are laying the groundwork for the global AI economy.

Throughout packed sessions, ministers and senior officials from the UAE, the EU, Asia, the Middle East, and Latin America debated pressing questions around trust, regulation, and digital sovereignty in the AI age — from legislating autonomous systems and quantum-era security to safeguarding global data flows. Their dialogue underscored a pivotal shift: nations are now co-creators of innovation, not followers.

Quantum, Biotech, and Beyond: The Next Frontier of Intelligence

Future-critical industries dominated the 2025 edition with cutting-edge showcases across GITEX Quantum Expo, Physical AI, Semicon, Super Data Centres, and GITEX Digi Health & Biotech.

Exhibitors unveiled breakthroughs such as smart contact lenses that analyze glucose through biomarkers, brain-computer implants decoding neural activity, and AI-powered gene-editing systems that reprogram DNA for disease resistance.

Global tech giants — including ai71, Alibaba Cloud, AMD, AWS, e&, G42, Google, HPE, Huawei, IBM, Microsoft, Oracle, Salesforce, and Snowflake — presented next-gen semiconductor architectures and nation-scale data infrastructure built to power sovereign AI workloads.

Industry Leaders Applaud a Landmark Edition

Zaid Ghattas, General Manager for AMD Middle East, Türkiye & Africa, reflected:

“GITEX 2025 was an unforgettable milestone for AMD. It remains a vital hub to connect with our ecosystem and showcase our innovations in AI and computing. We look forward to GITEX 2026 and the continued digital growth of the UAE and the wider region.”

Similarly, Miguel Vega, SVP for Database Platform & Cloud Infrastructure at Oracle, noted that the company’s focus on “Enterprise-Ready AI” demonstrated its commitment to powering the UAE’s AI-driven future.

Tareq Masoud, Country Manager UAE at Snowflake, added that this year’s show marked a turning point for businesses moving beyond experimentation to achieving measurable results through AI-driven data strategies.

Strategic Alliances Fuel the Next Innovation Wave

A record number of memoranda of understanding (MoUs) were signed during the event, establishing public-private partnerships to accelerate digital transformation.

Key collaborations included:

  • Presight and Dubai Taxi Company partnering on AI-based smart mobility solutions.
  • AWS and e& launching a nationwide program to train 30,000 people in AI and cloud technologies under the “AI Nation – Afaaq” initiative.
  • Abu Dhabi’s Department of Municipalities and Transport announcing 19 strategic partnerships in AI-powered public services, real estate, and smart mobility — the largest single-day commitment since Abu Dhabi’s historic debut at GITEX.

Chiara Marcati, Chief Advisory & Business Officer at ai71, commented:

“GITEX GLOBAL 2025 was a defining moment for ai71. We demonstrated tangible AI transformation with the UAE Public Prosecution and announced our DGE partnership for global expansion — proving that Abu Dhabi is building AI that truly delivers impact.”

Global Startup Ecosystem Thrives at Expand North Star

At Dubai Harbour, the Expand North Star showcase amplified the pulse of global entrepreneurship.

Founders from over 100 nations connected with investors managing over US$1.1 trillion in assets, forming new cross-border ventures and investment partnerships on site.

The Supernova Challenge 2.0 awarded US$300,000 in total prizes, crowning Korea’s AIM Intelligence as the overall winner, with runners-up from Chile and Ecuador, underscoring GITEX’s evolution as the world’s largest startup expansion platform.

GITEX 5.0 in 2026: The World’s First TechCation Experience

Looking ahead, GITEX 2026 is set to revolutionize the global tech calendar with the launch of the world’s first “GITEX TechCation”, hosted at the Dubai Exhibition Centre, Expo City Dubai, from 7–11 December 2026.

Blending innovation with lifestyle, TechCation will transform Dubai into a citywide celebration of technology, culture, and tourism.

The event opens with the GITEX Scale Summit on 7 December, a high-level forum for global leaders focused on policy, opportunity, and innovation in AI economies. From 8–11 December, the exhibition will spotlight the most advanced breakthroughs across AI x 5.0 industries, from quantum science and biosciences to semiconductors — reaffirming Dubai’s role as a living laboratory for the future.
