Exabeam

Exabeam, a global leader in security operations intelligence and automation, has unveiled the industry’s first connected system designed specifically to secure AI usage and AI agent activity. The new release introduces an integrated framework of AI-driven security workflows that helps organizations detect risk, investigate AI behavior, and gain clear visibility into their AI security posture as adoption accelerates across enterprises.

Extending UEBA to AI Agent Activity

Building on its market-leading user and entity behavior analytics (UEBA), Exabeam has expanded its capabilities to include AI agent behavior analytics, unified timeline-based investigation, and posture visibility for AI agent security. Together, these connected capabilities give security teams the tools they need to understand how AI agents behave, identify anomalies, and safely scale AI across business operations.

Addressing Real-World AI Risks

As enterprises increasingly deploy AI agents, new risks are emerging. Organizations are already observing AI agents sharing sensitive data, bypassing internal policies, and making unauthorized changes without clear attribution or visibility into intent. In September 2025, Exabeam introduced the industry’s first UEBA designed to detect AI agent behavior through integration with what is now Google Gemini Enterprise, enabling detection, investigation, and response to agent activity for the first time.

Unified Investigation and Measurable Security Posture

The latest release advances this leadership by placing AI agent behavior analytics at the core of security operations. AI-related investigations are now unified within a single, timeline-driven view, allowing teams to trace agent actions end to end. In parallel, new posture visibility capabilities provide maturity tracking, targeted recommendations, and enhanced analytics to help organizations continuously assess and strengthen their AI security defenses.

Leadership Perspective on Behavioral Security for AI

Steve Wilson, Chief AI and Product Officer at Exabeam, emphasized that securing AI requires more than rigid controls. He noted that understanding what “normal” looks like for AI agents is essential to detecting risky deviations early. By applying UEBA to AI agents, Exabeam is enabling security teams to quickly identify threats, investigate agent behavior, and improve resilience as AI becomes embedded in enterprise workflows.

Executive Insight Into Responsible AI Adoption

Pete Harteveld, CEO of Exabeam, highlighted that while AI agents can fundamentally transform how businesses operate, responsible governance is critical. He explained that executives need clear insight into AI agent behavior and confidence that their security posture can support safe adoption. Exabeam’s new capabilities provide that clarity and a continuous improvement path to protect organizations, customers, and the wider digital ecosystem from AI-driven threats.

Customer Validation of Connected AI Visibility

Joep Kremer, Business Unit Director at ilionx, noted that understanding and managing AI agent behavior has become a top priority as adoption accelerates. He pointed out that Exabeam’s connected capabilities allow teams to detect deviations from expected behavior, conduct unified investigations, and strengthen defenses through actionable posture insights, delivering significant value to both internal teams and end customers.

Defining a New Category in Enterprise Security

The launch reflects a broader industry shift as traditional security tools, built for static users and devices, struggle to manage autonomous, decision-making AI agents. Analysts predict that AI agent oversight will emerge as a core enterprise security category by 2026, alongside identity, cloud, and data protection. By unifying behavioral analytics, investigation, and posture visibility for AI, Exabeam positions itself as the first mover in AI agent behavior analytics, shaping how organizations will secure their digital workforces in the years ahead.
