The world’s largest showcase for artificial intelligence and future technologies, GITEX GLOBAL 2025, is set to return for its landmark 45th edition, uniting visionary leaders, investors, and enterprises from 180 countries at the Dubai World Trade Centre from 13–17 October. The event will spotlight revolutionary advancements shaping humanity’s next frontiers — from biotechnology and quantum computing to semiconductors, physical AI, and data centers.
Driving the Next Wave of AI Transformation
As artificial intelligence continues to evolve, its ability to solve once-impossible challenges — such as curing genetic diseases, transforming urban mobility, and powering sustainable data centers — is becoming a reality. With the global AI market projected to reach USD 4.8 trillion by 2033 (UNCTAD), the urgency to integrate AI into critical sectors has never been greater.
GITEX GLOBAL 2025 brings together 6,800 technology companies and 2,000 startups, featuring global giants such as Alibaba Cloud, AMD, AWS, Dell, e&, G42, Google, HPE, Huawei, IBM, Microsoft, Oracle, Salesforce, Siemens, and Snowflake, alongside innovators like Cerebras, Datadog, Mitsubishi, Qualcomm, Rital, ServiceNow, Tata Electronics, Telecom Italia, and Tenstorrent.
Expand North Star: The Global Startup Powerhouse
Running in parallel at Dubai Harbour from 12–15 October, the 10th edition of Expand North Star, hosted by the Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy, connects 2,000 high-growth startups with 1,200 investors managing USD 1.1 trillion in assets. The show reaffirms Dubai’s position as a global hub for innovation-driven entrepreneurship and venture capital.
“GITEX GLOBAL 2025 continues to ignite innovation-led progress across economies,” said Trixie LohMirmand, EVP of Dubai World Trade Centre, the event organizer. “Future-critical sectors such as data centers, biotech, quantum, and robotics are where AI brilliance meets humanity’s most pressing challenges.”
Record Global Participation from Emerging Tech Economies
The 2025 edition marks a record year for international collaboration, with Brazil joining as the Official Country Partner, accompanied by the Serbian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Tech Destination Pakistan as strategic partners. New national pavilions will debut from Canada, Chile, Ecuador, Spain, and Türkiye, expanding GITEX’s international footprint across Europe, LATAM, Central Asia, Africa, and the Levant.
“Brazil is proud to highlight its innovation ecosystem,” said Tatiana Riera, COO of ApexBrasil, representing more than 50 startups and innovation hubs.
Similarly, Marko Čadež, President of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, noted that Serbian startups are showcasing AI-powered solutions spanning energy, wellness, and digital sentiment analysis.
AI Data Centers: The New Industrial Backbone
With global investments in data centers expected to surpass USD 500 billion by 2025 (BofA Research), GITEX GLOBAL welcomes O’Leary Ventures, one of the world’s largest investors in the field, currently developing the world’s biggest AI data center industrial park in Canada.
“The UAE has become the world’s epicenter for technology and AI, combining leadership, resources, and vision like no other,” said Paul Palandjian, CEO and Co-General Partner at O’Leary Ventures.
Regionally, Hassan Alnaqbi, CEO of Khazna (a G42 company), will lead discussions on how infrastructure, energy, and policy can keep pace with the rise of giga-scale AI factories.
AI-Driven Healthcare and Biotechnology Innovation
In the GITEX DigiHealth & Biotech vertical, breakthroughs in gene editing, mRNA vaccines, and AI-powered drug discovery are driving global biotech spending to USD 1.7 trillion by 2025.
Trevor Martin, CEO of Mammoth Biosciences, will showcase how their Nobel-winning CRISPR technology, integrated with AI, is advancing cures for genetic diseases.
Meanwhile, Matt Angle, CEO of Paradromics, will unveil insights from the world’s first successful brain-computer interface, and HurayPositive, a South Korean startup, will introduce an AI-driven SaaS solution for precision medicine targeting one million chronic disease patients.
Physical AI and Robotics Redefine Human-Machine Synergy
At GITEX GLOBAL 2025, Tensor will reveal the world’s first personal robocar, hailed as “agentic AI on wheels.” Meanwhile, K2 will showcase a new generation of humanoids and industrial robotics vehicles, marking a major leap toward physical AI integration across industries.
With the robotics AI market forecasted to quadruple to USD 94 billion by 2031, these breakthroughs position physical AI as a cornerstone of industrial productivity and next-generation entrepreneurship.
Quantum Computing Revolution: The Next Digital Frontier
The GITEX Quantum Expo (GQX) will spotlight quantum readiness with IBM’s Quantum System Two, a milestone in building fault-tolerant quantum architectures.
“GITEX GLOBAL is not just a global stage — it’s a platform for action,” said Shukri Eid, VP & GM of IBM Gulf, Levant, and Pakistan.
Additionally, Prof. Mark Thompson, Co-Founder of PsiQuantum (a USD 6 billion unicorn), will outline the roadmap to quantum sovereignty, while IONQ, the world’s first publicly listed quantum computing firm, will showcase its latest innovations.
AI Semiconductors: Powering the Era of Sovereign AI
Global processor leader AMD will display its Instinct™ GPUs and EPYC™ CPUs, engineered for high-performance AI workloads and energy-efficient data centers.
Jim Keller, CEO of Tenstorrent, valued at USD 2.6 billion, will present a keynote titled “Taking Control of Your Sovereign AI Future,” exploring how semiconductors are evolving into geopolitical levers shaping global AI economies.
Unicorn Startups and AI Supercomputing Dominate Expand North Star
This year’s Expand North Star welcomes over 40 unicorns, reinforcing the UAE’s role as a global hub for AI and advanced startups.
