Epson is bringing its popular Epson EcoTank back-to-school campaign to families across the Middle East, Türkiye and Africa, building on the success of last year’s programme and marking the third year of its “Nurture Your Kids’ Talents with EcoTank” initiative.
The 2026 campaign is designed to help families prepare for the new academic year by combining practical learning tools with experiences that encourage children to develop their interests and talents beyond the traditional classroom environment.
As part of the initiative, customers who purchase a qualifying Epson EcoTank printer can receive up to four free after-school classes for their children. The programme covers educational, creative and physical activities, giving young learners opportunities to explore interests outside their regular school curriculum.
Learning Continues Beyond School Hours
The campaign is built around the idea that children’s development extends beyond classroom lessons. Through its range of participating activities, Epson aims to give families additional opportunities to support learning, creativity and physical development.
The initiative combines educational support with activities designed to encourage children to discover new interests, develop practical skills and make better use of their time after school.
The campaign also reflects the growing importance of providing children with a balanced learning environment that combines technology and traditional learning resources with physical and creative experiences.
Duolingo and Upskillit Join the Initiative
To broaden the range of experiences available to families, Epson is partnering with leading regional providers, including Duolingo and Upskillit.
The programme offers both online and in-person experiences, covering sports lessons, creative arts and academic tutoring in subjects such as mathematics and English.
Children can also benefit from a one-year Duolingo subscription, adding language learning to the educational opportunities available through the campaign.
Redeeming the offer is designed to be straightforward. Families can visit the campaign microsite, register their qualifying purchase and select their preferred activities from the available options.
514 Partners Offer Free Activities
The 2026 campaign runs from August 14 through October 10, with 514 participating partners offering between two and four free classes across a broad selection of activities.
The available programmes include sports, music, dance and crafts, providing children with opportunities to explore interests across different fields.
Sports options include cricket, football, basketball, swimming, gymnastics, volleyball and martial arts, giving families a wide range of choices depending on their children’s interests and preferences.
By combining educational and recreational opportunities, the campaign seeks to create a broader back-to-school experience in which children’s development is supported both academically and through activities outside the classroom.
Balancing Digital and Physical Learning
The campaign comes at a time when families are increasingly considering how to balance digital learning with traditional physical learning tools.
A recent OECD report, How’s Life for Children in the Digital Age?, highlights the educational opportunities offered by digital devices while also noting concerns around excessive screen time and its potential impact on children’s well-being.
Recent Epson research reinforces the discussion around screen fatigue. According to the research, 69% of surveyed parents and teachers said they had noticed students experiencing screen fatigue associated with the use of laptops and tablets.
Meanwhile, 59% of respondents said printed materials were easier on the eyes. More than half of those surveyed also said physical printed materials encouraged deeper reading and comprehension.
These findings underline the continuing role of printed materials alongside digital tools, particularly as children and families navigate increasingly technology-driven learning environments.

EcoTank Supports Everyday School Needs
As the new school year approaches, a reliable home printer can become an important part of a family’s learning setup.
Printing assignments, study notes and hands-on creative materials at home can help families manage school requirements more efficiently while allowing students to keep their learning materials organised and readily available.
Epson’s EcoTank range is designed to support these everyday printing needs throughout the school year, offering what the company describes as a hassle-free and ultra-low-cost printing experience.
The printers feature a cartridge-free ink system designed to reduce printing expenses. According to Epson, compatible EcoTank models can save families up to 90% on printing costs, compared with best-selling similarly featured printers in the Middle East and Africa, based on the company’s cited IDC comparisons.
High-Yield Ink for Long-Term Printing
Another feature of the EcoTank range is its high-yield ink bottle system, which is designed to reduce the frequency with which users need to replenish ink.
Epson states that one set of included ink bottles can provide enough ink for up to three years, based on the company’s specified usage assumptions. These calculations are based on average monthly print volumes of 70 pages for EcoTank home and office printers and 40 photos for EcoTank photo printers.
The combination of high-yield ink and a cartridge-free design is intended to help families handle regular school printing requirements without frequent interruptions caused by running out of ink.
Neil Colquhoun: Supporting Children’s Growth
Neil Colquhoun, President of Epson META-CWA, highlighted the company’s continued partnership with Shakira as part of the campaign, noting that her focus on education, creativity and youth empowerment aligns with Epson’s commitment to helping children reach their full potential.
He said the back-to-school initiative brings together the value and reliability of Epson EcoTank printing with access to educational, creative and physical learning opportunities.
According to Colquhoun, the objective is to help parents and families across the Middle East provide meaningful support for their children’s growth, learning and well-being both inside and outside the classroom.
The campaign therefore positions the printer not simply as a household technology product, but as part of a broader back-to-school experience that combines practical learning support with opportunities for children’s personal development.
Campaign Rolls Out Across Multiple Markets
Families can purchase a participating EcoTank printer and redeem their free classes through their local Epson website, subject to availability and while stocks last.
The 2026 campaign will roll out across the Middle East, Türkiye and Africa, with the promotional offer available for a limited period.
The initiative reflects Epson’s broader focus on supporting families during the back-to-school season by combining printing technology with educational, creative and physical activities.
Turning Back-to-School Preparation Into a Broader Experience
With its third-year return, Epson’s “Nurture Your Kids’ Talents with EcoTank” campaign expands the traditional concept of back-to-school preparation.
Rather than focusing exclusively on classroom supplies, the initiative encourages families to consider the wider development of children, from academic learning and language skills to sports, creativity and practical activities.
At the same time, Epson EcoTank printers are positioned as a practical tool for managing the printed assignments, study materials and creative projects that remain part of everyday education.
Through the combination of technology, printed learning resources and after-school activities, Epson aims to help families create a more balanced learning environment as children begin another academic year.
