Organizers confirmed that the event will return to Cairo from 1–2 June 2027, with an expanded focus on enterprise adoption, AI-led growth, and startup scale across the Middle East and Africa.

His Excellency Eng. Raafat Hindy, Egypt’s Minister of Communications and Information Technology, underscored the country’s commitment to building a robust and globally competitive AI ecosystem. He stated that hosting Ai Everything MEA Egypt 2026 reflects Egypt’s determination to advance AI innovation, develop national talent, and attract high-value technology investments. He expressed confidence that Egypt’s ICT sector and AI ecosystem will expand significantly by 2027, paving the way for an even more impactful second edition.

More than 250 AI startups participated, creating one of the region’s most densely packed innovation showcases.

Among the standout exhibitors, UK-based Emotii introduced what it described as the first “emotionally intelligent communication” platform. Its agentic AI system decodes emotional nuance in real-time multilingual conversations, supporting meetings, global teams, and live events. The technology positions AI as more than a translation tool—ensuring meaning and sentiment are accurately understood.

Customer service and sales—often the first point of contact between companies and consumers—are undergoing structural redesign through AI.

Amira AI presented its MIRA platform, which consolidates multiple sales and service systems into a unified AI engine capable of managing customer interactions while training human agents via intelligent simulations. Already deployed across more than 150 enterprises, including Audi, DP World, and L’Oréal, the platform demonstrates how AI-first enterprise design drives measurable improvements in customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.

AI in Agriculture: Turning Data into Predictive Foresight

In the agriculture sector, Datalentech showcased its decision engine, Paula, which predicts critical poultry farming variables—including feed efficiency, mortality rates, and pricing—with over 90% accuracy weeks in advance. By transforming uncertainty into proactive planning, the system enables producers to convert raw data into economic foresight, reshaping how food production strategies are built.

AI-Powered Retinal Screening Advances Egyptian Healthtech

Egyptian startup IRRI Vision introduced an AI-enabled retinal screening solution designed to detect time-critical eye conditions such as Retinopathy of Prematurity (ROP), where delayed diagnosis may lead to permanent blindness. Integrated directly into clinical workflows and portable imaging devices, the system brings early AI diagnostics to the forefront of modern healthcare delivery.

Ahmed El-Ghandour Calls for Clarity Over AI Hype

One of the summit’s most attended sessions featured science communicator and digital creator Ahmed El-Ghandour, whose YouTube platform reaches 2.3 million subscribers.

In a keynote titled “Simplifying AI for the Arab World,” El-Ghandour emphasized that artificial intelligence is already reshaping governments, markets, and societies. He argued that the real challenge lies in explaining this transformation objectively—without exaggeration or fear-based narratives. He stressed that AI presents unprecedented opportunities and challenges for graduates and professionals alike, and that public discourse must focus on empowerment rather than intimidation.

From Traditional Banks to Fintech Unicorns: AI at Scale

Across financial services, global leaders highlighted how AI is evolving beyond transformation into intelligence-led operations.

Ahmed Abdelaal, Group CEO of Mashreq, described banking’s transition into an industry where agility outweighs raw computing power. He noted that competitive advantage now lies in the ability to adapt quickly and deploy AI in ways that create tangible value.

Ahmed Yehia, CEO of Fintech & Digital Lifestyle at e&, echoed this sentiment, emphasizing AI’s role in simplifying financial services for mass adoption. He noted that customers increasingly demand seamless, intuitive digital experiences—driving sustained investment in AI-powered solutions built for trust and usability.

A high-impact panel featuring leaders from OPay and MNT-Halan examined how AI systems developed under real-world constraints—such as inconsistent connectivity, regulatory complexity, and price sensitivity—are outperforming many Silicon Valley models. Executives highlighted how necessity-driven innovation has accelerated AI adoption in financial inclusion and digital payments among underserved populations across Africa.

AI Investment Dynamics Enter a New Phase

From an investment perspective, Gerald Ko, Venture Senior Investment Manager at Gobi Partners, outlined shifting AI funding dynamics. With US$1.6 billion in assets under management, the firm emphasized emerging financing routes, including multi-currency investment structures and offshore liquidity hubs.

Investors, he noted, are increasingly prioritizing AI startups with clearer revenue visibility, sustainable business models, and demonstrable scalability—signaling a maturing capital environment for artificial intelligence ventures.
